Atelje Galerija, januar 2013
At the Traces of the Desert exhibition in Atelje Galerija, artist and glass designer Tanja Pak presented her newest works made using Bullseye glass after her first experience of the desert during her stay in the US. The traces of the desert can be felt in the earthy colours, the layering and the erosion expressed by Pak in square objects. The continuity of their idea evokes the horizon, reminding us of the feeling of silence, which gives us a clear view of the floating sculptures – the clouds in the centre of the gallery space. This is therefore a matter of two contrasting thoughts. One reminds us of the power and eternity of matter, the other of its disappearance (or the state of mind).
